Des Moines, IA. April 23, 2015—Midwest Construction was selected as a winner of the Better Business Bureau (BBB)’s annual Integrity Awards for 2015. In a presentation at the Des Moines Marriott Hotel in Des Moines, IA on April 16, Paul Despenas, the Vice President of Marketing for Midwest Construction, received this prestigious accolade in honor of the company’s model ideals of trust,

reliability and ethics.

The Better Business Bureau’s Integrity Awards were established in 1993 to recognize exemplary businesses while promoting the BBB’s mission of being a leader in Advanced Marketplace Trust. Following an open nomination process, nominated businesses are sent formal applications and an independent panel of volunteer community leaders selects the recipients based on criteria established by the BBB. Midwest Construction was one of five businesses selected to receive the award this year.

Midwest Construction had also received this award in 1999, and Despenas expressed his gratitude at the

presentation, saying, “What an honor it is to receive this award for the second time…we have been in business for 57 years and [are] well into our third generation [of owners].”

He continued, “Thanks to Van Hardin and Bonnie Lucas from WHO-Radio for believing in our company and spreading our message on WHO-AM Radio and thanks to our past, present and future customers!”
