After going on line to gather information on seamless vinyl siding manufacturers I discovered one manufacturer and the product comes 29 foot long?
If your home is more than 29 foot, then the product needs to be seemed or the installation company will install a vertical J-channel on 1 side of the door opening or in the middle of the house wall to make the home look seamless.
Seamless Vinyl Siding only comes up to 29 foot, so is it truly seamless?
Manufacturer specifies, when installing vinyl siding, it needs to be installed on a flat smooth surface to allow the panel to expand and contract freely. Manufacturers recommend using a fan fold or extruded foam, this will help straighten out the imperfections in the wall, if you choose the right fanfold it will also let your home breath and insulate.
When installing Seamless Vinyl siding (29 foot) the J-channel around all of the windows and doors have a 2 ½ inch wide face to allow the seamless vinyl siding to expand and contract up to 2 – 2 ½ inches.
Premium Vinyl Siding will expand and contract up to a ½ - ¾ of an inch on a 12 ½ foot panel to 16 ½ foot panel, no need for extra wide J-channel!
The only seamless vinyl siding manufacturer I have located (help me if I am wrong) is manufacturing and distributing vinyl siding that does not carry the VSI Color Hold Logo or 3 party testing to achieve the VSI Label. The VSI has done a great job of testing vinyl siding manufacturer’s products for longevity and color retention.
When looking to purchase vinyl siding, make sure the manufacturer is VSI Certified, make sure the installation company is VSI Certified and look for these, 3 Logo’s to make sure you have picked a product that will stand the test of time.
