The Mason City-based remodeling company has once again been recognized by Qualified Remodeler as one of the largest home improvement companies in the United States, ranking at No. 126.

Midwest Construction has been recognized as the 126 largest exterior home remodeling company in the United States on Qualified Remodeler’s HIP 200. Curated by one of the most prestigious publications in the remodeling industry, the annual list ranks the top 200 home improvement companies that specialize in exterior renovations based on revenue generation. The company also appeared on the publication’s Top 500 Remodelers 2015 list, ranking at No. 188.

Making the list this year was no small feat as all of the companies featured on it pulled in a combined $3.86 billion in sales on a total of 7.6 million jobs.  This reflected increases of 15.9 percent in revenue and 22 percent in jobs from last year, according to the publication. Because of its great success in installing windows, siding and sun rooms in homes across Iowa and southern Minnesota in 2015, Midwest Construction was able to make this list once again.

Based out Mason City, Iowa, Midwest Construction has effectively installed replacement windows, vinyl siding, doors, gutters and sunrooms in the homes of thousands of Iowans and Minnesotans. Founded in 1958 by Alex P. Despenas, it has remained a family-owned business to this day and has added a second location in Grimes, Iowa.

Midwest Construction has consistently appeared on Qualified Remodeler’s Top 500 and HIP 200 lists since the late 90s. As in the past, the company intends on making a return next year at a higher ranking. It plans on carrying the momentum gained from this accolade into 2016 so it can complete a higher number of jobs and increase its annual revenue.
