In 2004, 2005, and 2006 Midwest Construction had the honor of winning some very distinct awards, presented by the Vinyl siding Institute of America, for Restoration with vinyl building products and special applications with vinyl building products.

2004: Project Located at, 512 - North Washington Avenue, Mason City, Iowa. Homeowners at North Washington had an older home that was resided in the 1960’s with smooth 8 inch aluminum siding. The home had received some hail damage and these homeowners had the opportunity to reside there home. They found some old photos of the home before the aluminum siding was installed, discovered the siding underneath was 3 inch cedar, with some different shake designs in the gable and some vertical beaded porch panels running vertically on the top of the home.

The homeowners wanted to match this as close as they could. Midwest Construction made their dream come true.

Midwest Construction supplied and installed Triple 3 Vinyl siding with Progressive Foam Drop In foam to give the panel 400 % more impact resistance and 4 times better R-Value than the flat underlayment most siding companies’ use. We also supplied and installed vertical beaded panel along the freeze board with shakes in the gables.

When the project was complete, Paul Despenas, VP of Marketing for Midwest Construction, submitted the before and after photos to the VSI organization for judging in their national contest. We were awarded 1 Place for Historic Restoration with Vinyl siding.

2005: Project Located at: 822–East Street, Grinnell, Iowa–Winner of the Vinyl siding Institute of America for Historic Restoration with Vinyl Building products.

2006: Project Located at: 808 – East Street, Grinnell, Iowa- Midwest Construction receives the VSI award for special applications with vinyl building products.
