It makes sense to re insulate when residing your home. If your home was built from the 1970’s on, chances are the builder used the best insulation available at the time in your side walls but it still was not enough.
Today’s side wall insulation is almost twice as effective as it was in the 1970’s and 1980. So how can you get your sidewall R-Value up? Well we can’t drill holes in the sidewalls and blow in more insulation since the sidewalls have insulation between the studs. Older homes built without batten insulation can have insulation blown into the sidewalls from the exterior and achieve decent coverage but may have some empty areas left in the sidewalls un-insulated.
So how can you add R-Value to the exterior walls of the home and get enough R to make a difference? Progressive Foam Products from Beach City, Ohio has the answer. Progressive Foam has been engineering insulation for siding since the 1980’s and has developed a system to not only add R-Value to the exterior walls but offer a better siding insulation system to prevent water retention, 400 % more impact resistant with straighter wall lines and prevention of termites and carpenter ants. All of this with its own lifetime warranty and 10 year labor warranty.
