EcoSmart Replacement Windows Installed for Des Moines, Iowa Homeowner
This Des Moines, Iowa homeowner moved into her new single story home and immediately noticed the new front windows seemed to be loose and have some flex in them, Something wasn’t right. After having a family member stop by to take a look at the window problem, he confirmed the window wasn’t installed correctly or had a problem that needed to be fixed.
Midwest Construction received a call from this homeowner as she has heard our radio host, Van and Bonnie with WHO-AM 1040 Talk Radio speak, on behalf of Midwest Constructions products and services.
The homeowner explained the situation and an In Home Inspection was scheduled for Senior Design Consultant Troy Deaton. Troy met with the homeowner and inspected the window she had a question about. It appeared the discount window company that installed the windows for the previous homeowners didn’t have the two windows mulled/connected together where the 2 windows met. That made the center of the windows bow into our outside and surely wouldn’t keep any wind, rain or snow out.
Troy measured up the windows , showed the homeowner an actual window sample, and explained to the homeowner the correct way to install windows. He answered all of her questions. Troy left her with an detailed exact cost so she could share the information with her family before she made any decisions.
Troy made his follow up call like the homeowner requested and she gave Troy the OK to get new windows ordered.
Troy switched the windows out from sliders to Double hung and picture unit in beige. The windows will be much easier to clean from the inside and opened up the center of the window for a nice view.
