Everlast Advanced Composite Siding Installed on Lakeview Drive, Mason City, Iowa

The home was built in the 1960’s. It was time to replace the siding and the home needed some additional insulation. One way to add more insulation is while you’re getting new siding, it’s a great time to upgrade.

Since the 1960’s, Midwest Construction has purchased all of the insulation for siding products from Progressive Foam out of Ohio. Progressive Foam is a family owned and operated company like Midwest Construction. Alex Despenas founder of Midwest Construction, did business with Pat Culpepper Senior and 60 years later the Despenas Family is still doing business with the Culpeper Family/Progressive Foam Products.

Midwest Construction’s siding crew removed the existing siding and hauled it away. The next step was to inspect those walls for any soft or rotten sheeting. If any rotten sheeting was found, our crew replaced it before proceeding to the next step. All of the exterior walls of the home were wrapped with Grip-Tite House Wrap, all window and door openings were then taped off with Green Guard Tape to prevent any water or air infiltration. Then an additional layer of insulation was installed (Pro-Fold) to the outer walls of the home and attached garage.

Once all of the walls were prepped and windows and doors trimmed out, the crew started installing the Everlast Advanced Composite Siding. The siding has a brilliant joint clip system to allow the jointed/butted panels to expand together and keep your seems nice and tight.

Midwest Construction’s crew also installed maintenance free soffit and fascia system including porch ceiling soffit to give this home the finishing touches.
