Marshalltown, Iowa Homeowners hire Midwest Construction to install vinyl replacement windows in their porch to extend the area for all season use.

The home was built in 1968 and had an enclosed porch on the back of their home’s walk out basement.

The homeowners were familiar with Midwest Construction as they hired them to install American Classic Insulated Siding and EcoSmart Windows in 2009.

The area they wanted to improve was a perfect spot that looks out into the backyard with a great view. It is a finished entertainment area that had original windows since the home was built, single glaze wood sash windows with an aluminum storm window. The area has always been too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.

Since the room is mostly windows, the first place to improve is bye replacing the old windows with new energy efficient vinyl replacement windows.

And that’s just what they did! Troy Deaton: Senior Design Consultant with Midwest Construction had worked with this customer in the past on their siding/window project.

Troy measured up the windows, went over the installation procedures and gave them an exact cost.
