The home was built in 1993 and had Abitibi Siding installed originally. After a few years, the homeowners noticed it was starting to fail. It had mold, mildew and was falling apart. The homeowners decided to install the next best thing since sliced bread for the siding industry, Fiber Cement Siding, they learned there were many different ways to install the product and the manufacturer made some changes. After a couple of years the homeowners noticed the walls were cold and had drafts around the windows and doors. Fiber cement siding is not an insulator!

The homeowners were watching WHO-TV (Des Moines, Iowa TV station) one Saturday morning and was Midwest Construction advertising our insulated siding and noticed it was endorsed by Van and Bonnie of WHO-1040 AM Talk Radio. The TV spot mentioned the showroom was open this Saturday.

The homeowners decided to make the journey to our showroom. When they arrived they like what they saw. The people were personable and knowledgeable. The Sales Rep came to the house to do the measurements, picked some products and gave an exact cost.  It was an easy process with no pressure, no hassle.

After the project was completed the homeowners noticed the house was warmer. Previously the homeowners received a letter from their energy supplier (Mid-American Energy) that their home was under performing as far as energy usage. After the installation of new windows and insulated vinyl siding, the next letter said the home was performing above average.

All of the crews were professional. They let us know what they were going to do and when they were doing it. As the fiber cement siding was removed some damaged sheeting was discovered. The installers took photos and sent them to home owners to be confirmed. The crews went above and beyond to make sure the products were installed correctly. The job site was clean and tools secured. The whole project took around 13-14 days.
