Vinyl Siding Installation - Altoona, Iowa 50009

The home was built in 1959. The original siding installed was aluminum. The paint was faded, chalking and it was time to update the exterior of the home.

Midwest Construction’s crew removed the existing aluminum siding from the exterior walls of the home and the overhang. Once the siding was removed, our crew noticed the homebuilder didn’t use plywood in the gables for sheeting. Midwest Construction delivered plywood and sheeted in the gables.

As the crew removed the gutters, then the aluminum siding that was used to cover the fascia board noticed the fascia board was completely rotten. The crew fixed that area before covering it with custom bent aluminum coil stock that runs up under the roof edge.

Our crews also found rotten fascia and rafter tail ends, those where replaced and then covered with Hidden Ridge Vinyl Soffit and Custom Bent Aluminum Coil Stock.

The outer walls of the home were covered with house wrap. All windows and door openings were taped off to prevent any water or air infiltration and the house was ready for American Classic Insulated Siding.

The windows and doors were trimmed out with black custom bent aluminum coil stock and all of the soffits and fascia's have been covered to give this home true maintenance freedom.
